JUST IN: NLC President leads protest in Abuja



President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero leads the ongoing protests in the Federal Capital Territory in Nigeria. 

The intention of the led out protest is over the high cost of living, inflation, insecurity, and hardship in the country.

The protest started from the Labour House Headquarters in Abuja at exactly 9:36am.

Unions involved are Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, FCT Council, National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Construction Workers’ Union, among others.

Also present at the national protest are former Nigeria Country Director, ActionAid, Ene Obi; and the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore among others.
