Jack Wilshere On Arsenal’s Young Unplayable Talent, Nwaneri
The Arsenal academy seems to be unearthing a wide lot of gems seeing the presence of an academy graduate like Bukayo Saka enjoy a flourishing Arsenal career, and now Jack Wilshere has pointed out another upcoming talent, Ethan Nwaneri from the academy.
Jack Wilshere, a former midfielder for Arsenal, has praised emerging talent Ethan Nwaneri and called him “unplayable.”
When Nwaneri made his first-team debut for Arsenal in their 3-0 Premier League victory against Brentford in September, he created history as the youngest player in the history of the league.
Although the 15-year-old hasn’t participated in a senior team matchday squad since then, his progress is being eagerly watched by Arsenal supporters who have big expectations for him.
Nwaneri scored twice as the Arsenal U18s drew 3-3 with Manchester United last weekend in the U18 Premier League Cup.
But after the game, Wilshere, who is now in charge of the U18s, was pleased with Nwaneri’s performance.
“In the first half, he tried to find the spaces, playing in people’s backs and creating space for himself, and we could not find him a little bit,” Wilshere said at his post-match press conference.
“In the second half, he was very good. He was unplayable at times. He had a few good moments. In the second half, a lot of players stepped up a level, we found some more space.”
