It all started in Ojuelegba, it shaped me into who I am – Wizkid speaks on career

Music icon and superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has spoken about the early days of his career and how it started in Ojuelegba, Lagos, Nigeria.

The singer, Wizkid stated that being born and bred in Ojuelegba shaped him into the person he is today.

The singer made the statement during a chat with Olugbenga Agboola, the CEO of Flutterwave, a FinTech company that offers payment solution services, who asked him about how his music career all started.

Wizkid happens to be a brand ambassador for Flutterwave.

The Starboy Entertainment boss recounted his early days in the industry while in Ojuelegba, stating that it was a rough place to grow as a child.

According to the Grammy award singer, he had a dream of always making music and taking it from Lagos to the world.

He explained that he was in a situation where he was having no for an answer, and he always had to prove himself to the people where he finds himself.
