"I’m going to have a complete football team" -- Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor turned preacher/politician Yul Edochie turns social media on its heels again.

The Nollywood actor and self-proclaimed pastor sparked controversy with his recent assertion that his late son, Kambilichukwu, will “return.” Kambi, aged 16, tragically passed away in March last year after experiencing a sudden seizure while engaged in a football match with his schoolmates.

In a poignant Instagram post, Yul Edochie made a bold declaration, asserting his belief in the eventual return of his departed son. He further revealed his intention to expand his family, expressing his determination to have a total of eleven children, envisioning a complete football team.

The actor, who already has four children from his first marriage to May and two from his second marriage to Judy Austin, emphasized his unwavering commitment to embracing fatherhood and expanding his familial circle.

He wrote: “I’m just getting started. I’m going to have eleven children. Eleven beautiful children. Complete football team. My great son Kambi will return.”

Edochie’s statement is sure to elicit some mixed reactions from the public, and of course, certain to draw some sympathy and support for his beliefs, while others as typical will question the feasibility and implications of his assertion.
