Presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church (LFC), David Oyedepo says he disconnected his telephone for one month after he got an exorbitant bill from NITEL.

Oyedepo said his bill for that particular month exceeded his telephone budget.

The cleric said this on Wednesday at the Excellence in Leadership Conference 2016 [#ELC2016] holding at Daystar Christian Centre, Lagos.

Oyedepo noted that he was amazed when he saw a newspaper publication which showed that Nigerians spent roughly N440 billion naira per month on telephone calls, as at May 2014.

An average Nigerian, he says, doesn’t budget for the airtime they consume per month but rather “pay as they go”.

“Responsibility is the price for greatness and only those who stay focused on their task end up as frontliners. Until you’re out of your comfort zone, you can’t make the greatest of impact. No world-changer runs a normal schedule. No leader of worth lives a normal lifestyle,”

“You can’t tell how much you’re worth until you succeed in managing yourself effectively. Those who make news hardly have time to watch them; their time is invested in making the news for others to watch.”  he stated

He advised that people should learn to be self-disciplined and make budget as to how their income would be spent, and added that what is not well managed would definitely be damaged.
