"I only have 1-year to live" -- Former England manager reveals

Former England boss, Sven-Goran Eriksson has shared that he has less than one year at best to live as he opens up about his cancer prognosis.

In an interview with Swedish Radio P1, the former manager reveals he discovered the diagnosis after collapsing all of a sudden, sharing that the cancer prognosis forced him to restrict some of his public appearances.

“Everyone understands that I have a disease that is not good, and everyone guesses that it is cancer and it is,” Sven-Goran Eriksson said.

Sven-Goran Eriksson confirmed the diagnosis was pancreatic cancer and that it is inoperable.

“At best I have maybe a year, at worst maybe a little less,” he added.

The Swedish manager during his time as a football manager, managed clubs like Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Lazio, Mexico before famously managing the Three Lions.

He also had a brief stint with Premier League sides, Manchester City and Leicester City. While in the premier league, Sven-Goran Eriksson clinched the premier league manager of the month for August, 2007 while with Manchester City.
