I don’t like Tuchel’s attitude—Chelsea legend slams

Talk about the German, Thomas Tuchel feeling the Chelsea heat even in the pre-season as legend, Craig Burley comes for the Chelsea manager.

A year ago, right after winning the Champions League over Manchester City, Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea were earmarked to win just about all the competitions available.

The team was so good, they gelled quite well, their tactics haven’t been found out, they were solid at the back and weren’t leaking in goals. The 5 men defence was indeed doing wonders.

But if there’s one thing the football world has shown, it’s that, nothing lasts forever, especially when you aren’t a Manchester City side winning the Premier League.

And now, it seems the frustration is creeping in as Thomas Tuchel is beginning to show its signs, evident in his interview after defeat to Arsenal.

This has forced a former Chelsea player, Craig Burley to criticize the manager for showing to the media a sign of weakness and frustration that leaves the fans worried.

While answering questions after the 4-0 defeat to the Gunners, Tuchel was clearly agitated, questioning the commitment of the players and demanding more signings from the club hierarchy.

In the interview, the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain boss doubted the readiness of his squad going into the new season, refusing to compare it with the Manchester City or Liverpool sides.

Tuchel is right to be worried considering the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen have all departed the Blues, and is even more frustrated with the reports that Marcos Alonso and Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta are in line to move on.

The plus side is that the club has recruited Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly both from Manchester City and Napoli respectively in the transfer.

For Burley, he describes him having a problem with the German’s attitude saying:

“I have a problem with this guy at the moment. Managers will look to make excuses, there’s always a way to try and get out,” he told ESPN.

“I’m sorry, there’s not ten players trying to leave Chelsea…I’ve got a problem with that attitude.

“It’s his job to have them prepared and up for it.

“I’m sorry but as the old saying goes, the buck stops with the manager. Don’t tell Chelsea fans they might not be ready for the start of this season, tell me whose job it is. It’s his job,” he said.
