Harry Maguire furthering his own agenda despite Heroics

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano has warned the Manchester United fandom not to get carried away by Harry Maguire and his recent heroics.

According to Romano, the situation still remains the same and the England Centre Back could still be on the move in the January transfer window despite his recent form for the Red Devils.

Harry Maguire in recent games, has produced Man of the Match performances and even helped seal vital 3 points in Manchester United’s Champions League group with the winner against FC Copenhagen in mid-week.

During the summer transfer window, it was widely reported that Manchester United was actively seeking to part ways with Maguire, particularly after he was stripped of the captaincy by the newly appointed manager, Erik ten Hag.

Reports had suggested that Premier League club West Ham United had agreed to a transfer fee with Manchester United for Maguire. However, the move failed to materialize, and Maguire ultimately remained at Old Trafford.

Fabrizio Romano, known for his expertise in tracking football transfers, shared an update on Harry Maguire’s future on his YouTube channel.

Romano indicated that there has been a noticeable shift in Maguire’s attitude and commitment. Maguire, it appears, is now determined to give his best for Manchester United.

Romano emphasized that the key factor determining Maguire’s future at the club is his game time. Regular playing time is crucial for Maguire, especially with an eye on the upcoming January transfer window.

The English international is eager to secure his place in the squad, as his ambitions extend to representing England in the upcoming Euros.

The transfer specialist suggested that if Maguire continues to perform as he has been recently, there is a possibility that he could remain at Manchester United at least until the end of the season.

“The feeling around Harry Maguire is now different. He is fighting for it, he wants to do his best for Manchester United.

However, should Maguire find himself on the bench starting from November or December, he may contemplate an exit during the January transfer window, depending on the proposals that come his way.

“His future depends on the game time, for Maguire, it is crucial to play regular football looking ahead to the January transfer window.

“He wants to go to the Euros so for Maguire it is really important to play. If he will keep playing as he is doing now there is a chance for Maguire to stay at Manchester United at least until the end of the season.”

“Otherwise, if starting from November and December he returns to the bench, he will consider a January exit depending on the proposals.”

The Sport journalist however maintains that Harry Maguire’s current focus are on Manchester United;

“But I can guarantee to you, at the moment, the only focus for Harry Maguire is on Man United. He’s fighting for Man United, he wants to show his passion for Man United and numbers are showing how good he is doing recently.

“He’s playing much more proactively in possession, stepping in, passing vertically.

“He’s defending on the front foot, defending forward, very confident in the duels, I think he is dominating in the right way with his aggression against opponents. You see he also gets rewarded. Of course, his heading is a skill… a very good finish.”
