Gunmen murder judge during court session in Imo

In a shocking and unfortunate event, Nnaemeka Ugboma, the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court in Imo State has been murdered by gunmen on Thursday.

The incident took place during a court session, causing widespread panic in the community.

According to sources, the jurist was dragged out of the court by the attackers and shot dead.

The reasons for the killing are unknown, causing confusion among residents.

The Owerri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association has confirmed the incident and said that they will be communicating their actions in regards to the tragedy.

However, the police spokesperson for the state, Henry Okoye, has not yet responded to the incident.

The death of Nnaemeka Ugboma has caused concern among the people, and they are calling for a thorough investigation into the matter to bring the perpetrators to justice.

A resident said,

“This is a deeply saddening event, and our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased. The judicial system should be a place of safety, and such acts of violence against jurists cannot be tolerated.

We hope that the authorities will take swift action to bring justice to the case and ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future”.
