Governor Ododo distributes 11 more cars to Kogi judges

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo on Tuesday presented 11 additional cars to judges in the state, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to the welfare of judicial officers.

The presentation took place at Muhammad Buhari Square in Lokoja, where the vehicles were handed over to the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi.

Represented by the Head of Service, Mr. Elijah Evimemi, Governor Ododo assured that more vehicles would be delivered soon, fulfilling his earlier promise to enhance the working conditions of the judiciary.

“This issuance of 11 vehicles fulfills the commitment I made during the swearing-in of newly appointed judges in July,” Ododo stated. “On that day, we distributed 14 vehicles, and today we add 11 more, with plans to supply additional vehicles shortly.”

The governor emphasized that the gesture reflects the priority his administration places on the judiciary’s welfare, urging judges to continue delivering justice impartially and effectively.

In response, Chief Judge Mejabi expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for his continued support.

He noted that the new vehicles would significantly aid the judges in fulfilling their duties, particularly in ensuring unity and peaceful coexistence among Kogi residents.

Mejabi praised Ododo as a “people’s governor,” citing his administration’s fairness and dedication to inclusive governance. He expressed hope that after addressing the judiciary’s transport needs, the governor would focus on renovating court facilities to further enhance the judicial system in Kogi State.
