Governor Mohammed appoints 15 advisers, 5 heads of agencies

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi state has appointed 15 Special Advisers and five heads of government agencies, TopNaija reports.

 

According to the adviser on media to Mohammed, Mukhtar Gidado, the appointments were based on the track records of the appointees.

The appointees have since been deployed to their respective positions as indicated in their appointment letters.

He said the appointees were carefully selected based on a consideration of their wealth of experience, capabilities and the ability to contribute in moving the state forward.

The newly appointed special advisers are Hashimu Yakubu, Prof Sani Malam, Sanusi Isa, Danladi Danbaba, Abdon Gin, Ahmed Mohammed and Tukur Adamu.

Others are Maula Aliyu, Zainab Rufai, Kefas Magaji, USA Babayo, Abubakar Salihu, Abubakar Faggo, Garba Kawu and Adamu Madaki.

Also, those appointed as head of agencies are Babayo Madara as the chairman of the state Rural Water Supply Agency (RUWASS), Dr Sambo Alkali, hospital board, Yalwa Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi Agency for Orphaned and Vulnerable children (BASOVCA).

Nasiru Hamma was appointed Chairman, Bauchi State Nomadic Education Agency (BASANE), Dr Abdurrahaman Idris, Executive Secretary, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and Mas’udu Aliyu as Chairman of the Drugs Consumables Agency.

Mohammed was also Minister of Federal Capital Territory from 2010 to 2015; and a Senator from Bauchi State between 2007 and 2010. He is a leading member of the opposition People’s Democratic Party.
