“Gombe college student killed by acquaintance, not unknown gunmen” — Police

The Nigerian Police, Gombe State Command, have disclosed that the late Yosi Yusuf, a student of College of Education, Billiri in Gombe State, was murdered by a close friend who is yet to be identified.

Recall that it was earlier reported that Yosi was killed by unknown gunmen, but the latest information revealed that she was attacked and killed inside her room.

This reporter further gathered that the circumstances surrounding her gruesome murder pointed to the direction that she was stabbed by her attacker as a kitchen knife, soaked in blood was found and recovered in the room where she was killed.

The Gombe State Police Command PPRO, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar, said that the Command is on the trail of the suspect assuring that, very soon, the Police will get to the root of the matter.

He stressed that Yosi was not killed by unknown gunmen but a yet to be identified person who allegedly stabbed her with a knife
