The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the attack on President Bola Tinubu leveled by Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party rival, Peter Obi.
In an interview with Channels TV on Tuesday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka challenged the two to provide proposals to the President on how to manage the economy and administration successfully.
He termed Abubakar’s recent attacks on the Tinubu-led APC administration as “completely jaundiced by his own political self-interest.”
Morka believes that it is not enough for the two presidential contenders to only oppose the government’s actions; they must also exchange views.
He said; “Opposition politics is not necessarily about condemning. These individuals, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, touted some of the economic policies this government is running with to be at the core of their economic agenda. So what has happened? So it is not enough to just condemn, these leaders should be able to, assuming they have the silver bullets this government is not deploying, they point it out.
“It is not enough for Atiku Abubakar to bandy words. I expect a man who thinks deeply as he claims about governance, economy, and other aspects of our natural life to offer ideas, concrete suggestions”.
Meanwhile, it was reported earlier that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar berated Tinubu’s government, saying Nigeria is drowning due to insecurity and Tinubu’s chaotic his policies were dashing the hope of the citizens.
