Full List of Caretaker Chairmen for 23 LGAs in Rivers State

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has nominated caretaker chairmen for the 23 local government areas in the state. The nominations were officially transmitted to the Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Victor Jumbo, for approval.

This move comes amid a renewed political crisis in Rivers State, sparked by the refusal of former council chairmen to vacate their offices after the expiration of their tenures. The crisis has necessitated the appointment of caretaker chairmen to ensure the continued administration of the local government areas.

In a statement issued on Tuesday night, G.M. Gillis-West, the Clerk of the House, announced that the nominees have been invited for screening on Wednesday at 8:00 am.
