Four killed as unknown gunmen attack NDLEA office in Ebonyi
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA in Ebonyi was attacked by unknown gunmen which caused the death of four persons.
TopNaija reports that the NDLEA office located at Ntezi, Ishíelu local government area in Ebonyi State was attacked by the unknown gunmen around 2 pm on Tuesday, March 15.
However, the attackers were met with security agents which lead to the death of four persons.
Those killed include an NDLEA operative, a patient at the NDLEA rehabilitation center, and two of the attacking gunmen.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ebonyi State Police Command, DSP Loveth Odah stated that not only were two attacking gunmen confirmed dead, others escaped into the bush with injuries.
“Too bad, one of the officers and a patient at the NDLEA rehabilitation center were also killed.
“The security agencies are still searching the bush to get some of the gunmen, who were injured,” she said.
She added that two rifles and other ammunition were recovered from the attackers.
“Other items recovered include 140 rounds of K2 ammunition, 36 rounds of GPMG live ammunition, 30 rounds of Ak 47 rounds of ammunition, a 4 Runner jeep, motorcycles, military and police uniforms, charms amongst others,” she said.
Still, on the event, an NDLEA officer, on anonymity also confirmed the location and the period of attack.

“Security agencies repelled the attack on our office, located at Ntezi, Ishíelu local government area of the state around 2pm on Tuesday,”
