Former President Shehu Shagari Dies at 93

Nigieria’s ex-president Shehu Shagari has passed on.

His death was announced by Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, where Shagari is from.

“I regret to Announce the death of former President Shehu Shagari who just passed away at National Hospital Abuja. May his Soul Rest in Peace,” Tambuwal tweeted.

Shagari passed at age 93 and was Nigeria’s president between 1979 to 1983.
