Football Coach Shot 10 Times While Acting As Human Shield For Kids

A Florida football coach was critically wounded after being shot ten times during a drive-by shooting.

The 21-year-old used his body to protect four children from being shot in the drive-by, and he is now suffering from serious injuries that will necessitate multiple surgeries.
The coach was driving the boys home from football tryouts on Saturday, December 3rd, when a car pulled up to the intersection of Moncrief Road West and New Kings Road in Jacksonville, and someone inside opened fire.
One of the children, 13-year-old Prince Holland, was killed, and an 11-year-old boy was injured in the shooting but is expected to recover. The two other boys, ages 14 and 15, in the coach’s SUV were unharmed.
A $14,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest.
Holland’s mother stated:
“Every Sunday, he went to church.” He participated in athletics. He took the other kids to sports so they wouldn’t be doing drugs, smoking, or being in gangs.”
