Firmino is Liverpool—Klopp says

Firmino is Liverpool’s heart and soul, Klopp says as he counters speculations on the Liverpool number 9 exiting the club this summer.

So much speculation has been on in the summer transfer window as many rumors and reports rile the internet space about moves for players.

One of those relates to Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino; Bobby as he is popularly called at Anfield. Reports have continually linked the Brazilian with a move away from the club this summer with some speaking of interests from Juventus.

But for Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, he is kicked against such claims stating the Robert Firmino is Liverpool’s heart and soul and still a crucial player for the club.

Jurgen Klopp went on to rule out the possibility of the forward leaving the club in the summer transfer window.

The report of Firmino exiting the club comes due to Darwin Nunez’s arrival to the club along with the fact that Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are fast becoming regular starters in the team.

But Klopp has denied that the Brazilian will leave Liverpool despite the claims.

According to him, Firmino is the heart and soul of Liverpool.

“Bobby is crucial for us, the heart and soul of this team,” the manager said while speaking in an interview as the question popped up on the club selling the player.

“Everything looks really good, and I am absolutely fine with Firmino. For me, there is no doubt about his quality, so yes, he is essential for us.”

Roberto Firmino for one has been quite unlucky last season considering at some parts of the season, he was absent from the team through injury despite picking his best form that campaign.
