EFCC arrest 20 internet fraudsters in Ibadan

Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Commander of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have apprehended a total of 20 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

According to the Commission, the individuals accused of fraud were apprehended on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Akobo region of Ibadan.

After receiving credible information about their alleged involvement in internet fraud, they were apprehended by authorities.

Authorities have seized a significant number of items from the supposed cyber criminals in question. The recovered items include a collection of ten luxurious cars, a dozen laptops, a staggering forty-one mobile phones, a highly sought-after PlayStation 5, a television set, and various other documents that are believed to be incriminating.

According to the anti-graft agency, they will face charges in court once the investigations are completed.
