Chelsea set to lose another Player

Chelsea so far in this transfer window has seen a lot of outgoings than incoming this summer, as key defender, Antonio Rudiger departed for Real Madrid, Andreas Christensen has an agreement with Barcelona, Azpilicueta is set to depart, Marcos Alonso eyes a return to Spain.

The club’s record signing last summer, Romelu Lukaku is also set to depart on loan to former club, Inter Milan; the very club that sold the Blues the player for a 100 million Euros.

It’s now being reported that Italian side, Lazio will be concluding plans to land Blues’ left back, Emerson Palmieri this transfer window.

The 27-year-old, joined the Stamford bridge side from Roma in 2018 but failed to make an impact in the team, leading to a loan spell at Lyon.

His lack of impact in the team, led to the signing of Leicester City player, Ben Chillwell last summer under Frank Lampard.

Now with a year left on his contract, the club sees the opportunity to profit off of him in order to freshen up their defensive options.

From reports according to Italian sports media, Corriere dello Sport, the Brazilian-born Italy international is a target for Lazio, with former Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri interested in reuniting with his former player.

The report state that the Blues are looking to cash in over £12million for the defender.

It also states the player might need to take a pay cut in order to secure the move.

Sarri during his time with the West London side three years ago had worked with Emerson, which seems to be fueling the interest.

In the past two seasons, the left-back has only made 16 appearances for the London side, falling out-of-favour under Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea as it stands now, seem to have quite the cover at left-back, with Ben Chilwell and the uncertain Marcos Alonso to choose from.
