Check out the Group of Death in UEFA's Champions League Draw

The Champions League draw has been unveiled by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) ahead of the commencement of the 2023/24 edition.

Like it promises every season, it brings about new challenges as new clubs join the mix of top European clubs to compete for the grand tournament of Europe’s elite best.

League winners like Barcelona, Manchester City, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain have all found out their group opponents as the campaign gears up for a September 19 start date following a return from the international break.

Pep Guardiola who recently won the UEFA Men’s best coach of the year after leading Manchester City to a first time Champions League title win, will be leading his side to defend their title going into the campaign.

New comers, Newcastle United and Arsenal who have been absent from the competition, return to play with the big boys and earn themselves a chance at glory in this year’s edition, with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur either relegated to the second division of European club competition, Europa or out of Europe in general.

For a side who has been absent from the Champions League for close to 2 decades now, Eddie Howe will begin Newcastle United’s journey in Europe with a lot of trouble in Group F amongst the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan of the Italian Serie A.

Arsenal and Manchester United however have balanced groups. For the Gunners, they are faced with taking on Europa League champions, Sevilla, French Ligue 1 club, Lens and Dutch Eredivisie side, PSV in Group B.

For Manchester United however, they have a big task getting over Bayern Munich in Group A, and taking on Denmark side, FC Copahagen, and Turkish side, Galatasaray.

Who wins the 2023/24 edition of the Champions League in our prediction? We fancy Pep Guardiola doing it again with his Manchester City side, who have quite the easy route to the round of 16 in Group G.
