Talented Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwashina has just ventured into the music scene by dropping her debut track titled “You Will never Be mine” on which she features the SMD singer, Johnny Drille.
On releasing this heartbroken song Bukunmi said on her Instagram page;
A part of me wrote this song for ALL THE GIRLS THAT WERE HEARTBROKEN BY MY FRIENDS. 70% of my friends ain’t loyal to their girlfriends
. Especially way back in OAU. I knew their real babe, side chicks, and the normal sare wa gba. Sadly, side chicks cook and sometimes even washcloths for my friends. And still, go to lectures and all.
All of us call the girls Iyawo oremi. If I don’t or treat her as such, most of the girls won’t like me. And I can’t tell them the game my friends play, I would look like a snitch. I remember one very calm girl then, dating “____” she was always trying to get advice from me, whenever she has issues with her bf, since he is my friend. I was forced to tell her the truth.
The woman in me took over that day. I wasn’t my regular tomboy just for that hour. I told her to move on to another serious guy who was always after her then and let my friend be. What if she meant something to him, he will come after her. A year relationship…I felt her pain.
That was why I told her the truth. But she ended up making me look like the enemy. I told her boyfriend(My friend) and some of her own friends, that I’m the one forcing her to break up with her man so I can take her space. Of cause, my friend came and told me all she said. I apologized to him. We moved on to being friends.
Five months after, he broke up with the girl again. The truth is, most of the girl’s people believed to be my friends’ girlfriends in school then were actually side Chicks. It looks like a serious relationship. The girls would believe “At least, everybody knows we are dating on campus. If he is cheating. He wouldn’t be flaunting me.”
But the truth is, their real girlfriends are not in our school. They were either in other universities or at Home. They don’t call them often cos they know they are in school. I do speak with some of them on the phone, gist, and all.
They never saw me as a threat, unlike the side chicks who I was always trying to guide. One of the reasons why a part of me doesn’t make friends with ladies to date is cs THEY HATE THE TRUTH AND LOVE THE LIES. I wrote, “YOU WILL NEVER BE MINE.” For ALL THE GIRLS WHOSE LOVE HAS BEEN TAKEN FOR GRANTED. YOU DESERVE BETTER

I listened to this song and I feel for those that have been hurt,and it’s what I am facing in my present relationship now, basically her ex messed up so bad and I met her 2weeks later and we got into the relationship and now she remembers the past and it keeps destroying our relationship,but I am trying hard to make it work and helping out to forget the past which I know is isn’t easy..Thank you for this song.

Bukunmi oluwasina did a great job to this song, the lady is so talented she deserves some accolades in movies and Music Industry, her voice is so melodious am not her fan because she cry slot in a movie but this song make me fell in love with her nice job
