Buhari officially inaugurates national economic council

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated the national economic council at the presidential villa in Abuja on Thursday.

The council, which is headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, has as members, 36 governors, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, ministers of finance, budget and national planning, agriculture, federal capital territory and the minister of state, petroleum.

While inaugurating the council, Buhari charged governors to see the development of their states as priority.
