Bomb didn’t explode in Kano – Buhari’s former Aide reveals what happened
Former presidential aide has debunked the rumor that the explosion that happened in the early hours of today in Kano State wasn’t a bomb.
Bashir Ahmad, the former Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and News Media, has debunked the report of the bomb explosion in Kano State.
TopNaija had earlier reported that an explosion rocked Aba road in the Sabon Gari area of Kano State today, May 17.
Eyewitnesses’ accounts, with video recordings of the incident, confirmed the injuries of young pupils of the community after the explosion affected a nearby school, and it was also confirmed that one person reportedly died.
The number of casualties remains shady, but many people and properties are said to be affected.
Reacting, however, to the incident, Bashir Ahmad took to his Twitter account to note that the incident was a gas explosion instead of the acclaimed reports of bombing.
His tweet reads: “The unfortunate incident in Kano was a gas explosion, not a bomb blast, the Kano State Police Commissioner has confirmed.”
