Aviation minister, Hadi Sirika, loses Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Idris
Ibrahim Idris, the Chief of Staff to the Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, is dead.
Idris passed on Sunday night, the Federal Ministry of Aviation reported on Monday morning.
The Ministry of Aviation tweeted, “Innalillahi Wa inna ilahi Rajuun, with total submission to the will of Allah, we announce the death of Dr. Ibrahim Idris Chief of Staff to the Hon. Minister Hadi Sirika last night.
“A hardworking, godly and simple (man). May Allah forgive him and grant him the highest rank in Jannah.”
Also, in tribute to his deceased CoS, Sirika portrayed Idris as a “honest, trustworthy, simple, warm and godly” man.
“You lived to define how best to relate with people and serve Allah without show. May Allah the Merciful grant you Firdaus and grant us same when we come,” the minister tweeted.
Idris is supposed to be buried later today in line with Islamic rites.
Senator Sirika Hadi was born on 2nd March, 1964 in Dutsi, Kastina State. He was a pilot, a Nigerian politician and the Minister for Aviation.
Sirika Hadi graduated from the Petroleum Helicopters Institute, USA, Flight Safety International, United State of America and Delta Aeronautics USA.
Furthermore, he was a member of the House of Representatives and a former senator.
While in the senate, Hadi was the portal vice chairman Millennium Development Goal (MDG). He was also a member of the Senate Committee on Aviation.
He served in various committees in the Nigerian senate.
In 2015, elders of the party convinced Mohammadu Buhari to run for the president. Hadi announced this in Daura while donating vehicles to his constituents.
President Mohammadu Buhari won the gubernatorial elections in 2015. Hadi was appointed Minister for State on Aviation. He held the position till 2019.
President Buhari reappointed him after he won his second term bid as the Minister of Aviation.
