Aston Villa Ready to Go After Samuel Chukwueze

Unai Emery, current manager of Aston Villa may just about be a man who likes to keep things tight and connected judging by his interests in going after a player he once coached at Villarreal, in Super Eagles’ Samuel Chukwueze.

According to reports, Aston Villa of the Premier League is persistent in their pursuit of Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Before Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, returned to England a few weeks ago, Samuel Chukwueze and the Spaniard were teammates at Villarreal.

The Nigerian international, who has previously drawn interest from Chelsea and Liverpool, is someone Emery is eager to work with again.

Aston Villa are willing to spend €40m to hire the quick winger, according to Football Insider via TMW.

Samuel Chukwueze may be tempted to be sold by Villarreal in the January transfer window should the interest of playing in the premier league be of any appeal to him like it is with most Nigerian players.

For €500,000, the Yellow Submarine acquired the player from Diamond Football Academy in 2017.

The 23-year-old reportedly came within seconds of signing a deadline day loan deal with Everton last summer, but negotiations broke down at the final minute.

However, it might have worked out well for the Nigerian international if it means reuniting with former Villarreal coach.
