Premier League Predictions for Matchday 7 Weekend
The Premier League returns for matchday 7 with some promising games ahead of the international break, here are our predictions for the crackers waiting to be fired.
The games kickoff on Saturday with everyone’s favorite 12:30 pm culprits, Liverpool travelling to the Selhurst Park to defend their spot atop the Premier League table versus Crystal Palace.
The Reds will be heading to the Selhurst Park wary of the 1-0 defeat the Eagles handed them last season at the peak of their title challenge against Manchester City and Arsenal. This time around, Liverpool will want to keep a close eye on Palace if they want to keep their form going. This won’t be easy either way, as Crystal Palace have pressure on them to get back to winning.
This game has the making for a 1-1 draw, but for the sake of current form, we want to give Liverpool the benefit of a 1-2 win in our premier league predictions.
Arsenal versus Southampton will follow Liverpool’s game versus Palace, and depending on whatever the Reds conjure up, the Gunners will be equally motivated to claim all 3-points to edge closer to the top of the league. Southampton for Arsenal no offence, do not look like a threat that will stop the Gunners from claiming a win. We predict a 3-0 win for Arsenal.
Brentford versus Wolverhampton Wanderers will see the Bees tested this weekend. After scoring in the first minute of kickoffs in consecutive games, Brentford will want to get their first win this weekend against a side who this season has remained winless in the premier league.
Wolves despite their misfortunes this season, are real threats to their opponents, hence in our premier league predictions we think Wolverhampton Wanderers will get the win in a 1-3 score line.
Leicester City versus Bournemouth is going to be a tricky one that form has nothing to decide for in this game. No doubt the Cherries are in good spirits this season, but Leicester City are one opponent who hasn’t had results go their way yet despite impressing since their promotion into the league.
We think Leicester’s first win will be in this game as we boldly call a 3-2 win in favor of the home side.
Premier League Predictions for Matchday 6 Weekend
“There is pressure on us too” — Harry Maguire
Manchester City versus Fulham has the making for a weekend shocker if things fail to live up to the expectations of Pep Guardiola again. However, we will want to stay coy by predicting a 2-0 win for the Premier League champions this weekend.
For punters, they should take caution before staking a bet in this game as the Cityzens could get shocked at the Etihad.
West Ham United versus Ipswich Town — the Hammers are one team whose position in the premier League table has done little to speak well about their performance in the table. West Ham so far this season, have been a significant threat against their opponents despite failing to bite. In our premier league predictions however, we think the Hammers will bite in this game and defeat the Tractor Boys in a 4-1 win in East London.
Everton versus Newcastle United judging by the Toffees’ current form in the league, sees the Magpies with all the advantage. A win for Newcastle United at Goodison Park seems the guaranteed outcome. In our premier league predictions, we see a 0-3 win for the Magpies.
Sunday 6th October gives us some attacking delight as Manchester United travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa.
With the Red Devils enduring some poor form this season, this game looks like the fixture that could define Erik ten Hag’s time as manager of Manchester United. Any result aside a win will rile the internet with negative narratives for Manchester United. Hence, we do not see United losing this game.
Our premier league predictions has Manchester United presenting a defensive master class to steal a 0-1 win at Villa Park.
Chelsea versus Nottingham Forest seems a game that could frustrate everyone’s favorite in-form team, Chelsea. Forest are like their name suggests, a torn against their opponent. The question is, can the Blues do something different that Liverpool failed to do when they lost to Nottingham Forest.
In our premier league predictions we see Chelsea fighting out a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge.
Brighton and Hove Albion versus Tottenham Hotspur could be the game that Manchester United versus Spurs last weekend could have been. We believe this fixture has the making of a 3-3 or 2-2 draw.
