Arsenal to be fined after winning Liverpool

North London side, Arsenal suffer the consequences of emerging victor as their win over Liverpool comes to bite back as the Premier League raises questions concerning the team’s discipline on field.

Arsenal is set to face a fine of £25,000 following a heated clash against Liverpool, as reported by Goal.

The Gunners emerged victorious with a 3-1 win in a fiercely contested match on Sunday.

A total of seven players received bookings during the game, with six yellow cards issued, and a red card shown to Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate.

Among those cautioned were three of Arsenal’s starting defenders: Ben White, William Saliba, and Gabriel Magalhaes. Additionally, substitute Jakub Kiwior, who came on for Oleksandr Zinchenko, found his name in the referee’s book.

The disciplinary action extended beyond Arsenal and Liverpool, with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz also receiving yellow cards during the match.

In response to the high number of cautions, the Premier League is set to impose a fine of £25,000 on Arsenal, mirroring penalties previously levied against other clubs earlier in the campaign season. Both Chelsea and Liverpool faced similar fines after matches where at least six players from each team were booked.

Win, loose or draw, it appears the Gunners themselves won’t be getting a break as there stands consequences to each result.
