Armed Thugs Destroying Polling Units Arrested (SEE DETAILS)

Due to the  reports of election-related violence in Lagos, Nigeria, the Lagos Police Commissioner, Owohunwa Idowu, has revealed that many suspects have been arrested and exhibits recovered from them in connection with the incidents.

 

 

According to reports, the violence occurred in Maryland, Mafoluku in Oshodi, and Surulere.

 

 

Armed thugs disrupted the voting exercise and snatched and burnt ballot boxes with papers in them.

 

 

Several polling units were affected in different areas, including Agboola, Ijaiye, Obisanya, Owolabi, Branco, Adedeji, and Owoseni.

 

 

The extent of the damage is yet to be confirmed in some areas, including Dipo Olubi, Itire, and Aguda areas of Surulere. The police have assured the public that they are investigating the matter and will bring the perpetrators to justice.

 

We urge all citizens to remain calm and refrain from any act of violence or destruction of property. The election process should be peaceful and fair, and the safety of citizens must be ensured.
