Former Nigerian Minister Gets Released From Custody

Dr. Ijiomah Arodiogbu, Vice National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southeast, has stated that the party has a reputation for absorbing members of rival parties into the scheme of things.

According to Arodiogbu, the party has included numerous members of opposing parties within its administration as part of its primary objective to provide a level playing field and a friendly climate for all.

The APC Chieftain, speaking on Tuesday at a strategic Southeast Executive Committee Stakeholders meeting in Owerri, Imo State’s capital, added that the party, despite the calumny campaign often waged against it, has outstanding administrative policies that will ensure the country’s stability.

He cited the appointment of several opposition members to Senator Hope Uzodinma’s new government as an example, claiming that this was a practice exclusive to the ruling party.

“APC remains the only party in Nigeria that runs an open door policy where opposition members are incorporated in the scheme of things. The party believes in bringing all on board to chat a way forward.

“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has germane policies that will drive the country to success. All we need to do is to support him in achieving such goals.”

Dr. Arodiogbu also urged the National APC and Tinubu-led government to recognise the Southeast’s strategic position and create opportunities for the zone to be more inclusive in the larger picture.

He asked party stakeholders to think home by involving APC members in empowerment programmes that are consistent with the party’s values and goals of empowering the people.
