Amazon Prime's series The Boys to end in season 5

Get your tissues Boys, everyone’s favorite Super Hero political satire ‘The Boys’ is about coming to an end.

The infamous political black comedy took fans by storm as far back in 2019 when it first aired.

Unlike the many superhero contents that flanked the media space at the time, The Boys series was one that did not pull any punches with its narratives. It mimicked real world ideologies and even put a spin on popular debates and controversy such as the Me-too movement, Black Lives Matter, the Hollywood cancel culture etc; narratives that many superhero contents feared to take on on screen.

However, the show runner of the series, Eric Kripke has broken all hearts by announcing that the upcoming Season 4 will be the Boys’ penultimate season, with season 5 to be the end.

Kripke announced this on his X account stating:

Amazon Prime's series The Boys to end in season 5

“Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season! Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!”

With The Boys gaining a cult like following, eager eyes will be on the season 4 as it airs this Thursday. Will The Boys ultimately succeed in taking down Vought International? Or will Homelander keep getting more diabolical as it’s end nears?

The Boys stars an ensemble cast of Karl Urban, Antony Start, Jack Quaid, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Jesse T Usher, Laz Alonso and many more.
