Peter Crouch, Joe Cole Faults Van Dijk For Liverpool Loss

A week ago, Liverpool gave the Premier League a spectacle when they ran down in form Manchester United to the ground at Anfield in a 7-0 score line but flash forward to the 27th EPL match day, AFC Bournemouth shows to the world none of that matters.

A new week, a new dawn, same inconsistent Liverpool, Bournemouth proved to the world in their second clash against Liverpool to set things even and show the Reds are not as good as Manchester United led them to believe.

The premier league game kicked off at Lunch time on Saturday, with Liverpool looking to do the needful and steal back to Anfield a win.

They started the game immediately after kick off earning lots of chances and corners, the forwards wasting them away and even Virgil van Dijk getting a goal stolen away from him via a goal line clearance within the first few minutes of the game.

Liverpool went into the game, building on their confidence, with chance upon chance to net a lead. However, the usual tales told about the Reds this season came once again as a ghost looking to haunt the club.

While Liverpool held on to the confidence of stealing the game away from AFC Bournemouth, Bournemouth were the studious side waiting to capitalize on the Merseyside team’s errors.

The lack of physicality in the Reds’ midfield of Fabinho, Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Eliott, allowed Philip Billing a window into the Reds’ defense to slot in what was the opener and the proverbial winner of the game in the 28th minute of play.

Virgil van Dijk also has a shout out in the goal, alongside the usual suspect in defence that has become Trent Alexander Arnold.

Liverpool had chances to make their afternoon a lot more positive on the day with the chances they created. Virgil van Dijk threw one of those away when he was gifted a free header against the Bournemouth goal. The Liverpool defender, just as he proved in defense, proved he was also a liability in attack as well.

Mohamed Salah also had a shout out at goal and very much could have given the Reds a different story and hope on the night, but his penalty miss showed the Reds were destined to be defeated by AFC Bournemouth and avenge Manchester United’s 7-0 defeat.
