Man sets Mosque on fire in Kano

In the early hours of Wednesday, a man whose identity remains unknown set a mosque on fire in Laraba Abasawa, Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State. The incident occurred during the ‘Subh’ prayer, leaving several worshippers injured.

According to Daily Trust, the attacker used petrol to ignite the fire while approximately 40 community members were praying. He then locked the mosque, trapping the worshippers inside.

A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, described the harrowing scene: “The man used petrol and lit the fire while people were praying. He locked the mosque after the fire started. It took some time for those outside to realize what was happening and rescue the victims who were struggling to break out.”
