PSG enters the race for Rasmus Hojlund

A complication Manchester United are not ready for in the moment as PSG enters the hot chase for Rasmus Hojlund who the Red Devils have for some weeks been touted to sign this summer following the complication of the Andre Onana deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have popped up to create complication for the Red Devils as they have reportedly dropped a bid for the Danish international.

In the transfer market, you snooze and you loose, and so far, Manchester United’s delay in getting the deal down could reportedly back fire with PSG set to enter a bidding war for the striker.

The 20-year-old Danish prodigy, who currently plays for Atalanta, has been at the center of transfer speculations, with both clubs eager to secure his services for the upcoming season.

From transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano’s report, PSG has made a significant move by submitting a €50 million bid for Højlund.

The news was initially reported by L’Équipe, signaling the French club’s serious intent to acquire the talented forward.

However, it appears that Atalanta, Højlund’s current club, is adamant about their valuation of the player.

They have reportedly set their asking price at a staggering €70 million, with additional add-ons to sweeten the deal.

Fabrizio Romano further revealed that PSG has been in talks with Højlund’s representatives since June, demonstrating their long-standing interest in bringing him to the Parc des Princes.

That notwithstanding,  Manchester United remains strong contenders in the race for Højlund’s signature.

The English club has not been shy in expressing their interest and has already made a compelling offer.

Manchester United’s bid for the talented forward reportedly stands at €60 million, which includes a comprehensive package designed to lure the player to Old Trafford.

And according to United coach, Erik ten Hag, when asked recently about the deal, he promised that progress were being made on the move.
