Unknown gunmen abduct trader in Kano
TopNaija reports that a Nigerian man, Mr Emmanuel Eze, a resident of Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State, has been kidnapped by six gunmen riding on motorbikes.
The police in Kano on Friday confirmed the abduction of the provision shop owner and assured that a special anti-kidnapping team has been mobilized to rescue him.
The police said they have launched a massive manhunt to rescue the shop owner and assured that he will soon be reunited with his family.
DSP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, police Spokesman, told reporters in Kano that the incident occurred at Kore town near Dambatta, 60km North of Kano, by 10.30 pm on Thursday.
The police image maker revealed that “teams of policemen mobilized for possible rescue and arrest of culprits.”
Unconfirmed reports say the gunmen shot sporadically into the air to scare residents before whisking Eze away.
