21 Kidnapped Victims Rescued In Kogi State

  The 21 victims kidnapped along the Ajaokuta-Itobe road in Kogi State have been rescued. 

They were reportedly rescued by the joint team of security operatives, including the Nigerian Police Force, Civil Defence, and local vigilantes within 48 hours.

The victims, mostly travelers, had been taken to an unknown destination in the dense forest around Ajaokuta Local Government Area.

Governor Yahaya Bello issued prompt directives for immediate action to free the captives, emphasizing his commitment to the safety of citizens.

The operation led to the apprehension of some kidnappers, with others still being pursued.

Governor Bello commended the security forces for their rapid and effective response, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to maintaining Kogi as one of the safest states.

He issued a stern warning to criminals, declaring Kogi a no-go area for illicit activities.
