Star musician, Yemi Alade says her first headline concert in Nigeria will take place in Abuja on December 31.

The singer said the concert, tagged ‘Afrikan Fest’, is the final stop of her Black Magic movement.

“This is actually my first concert in Nigeria that I am headlining. It is called Black Magic movement,” she told Hip TV.

“We’ve been all around the world. I’ve done Canadian, American and European tour for two years.

“And now, we are bringing the full stop to the Black Magic movement and we are garnishing the movement with the Abuja edition.

“I’m really excited. We are redefining the Nigerian experience.”

Alade spoke to Hip TV during her visit to her alma mater, Victory Group of Schools, 12 years after graduation.

She offered the students free visual and auditory tests, saying she was shortsighted as a child, hence, she wants to alleviate the pain of those in the same boat.

The singer said: “As a kid, I had issues seeing the blackboard from where I sat. I was shortsighted. And now, I think there may be a lot of kids going through the same challenge.”

Yemi Alade recently collaborated with Flavour on an Afropop song titled ‘Crazy Love’.
