“Your Child Will Become Canadian Citizen” – Lady Shares How to Travel To Canada & Give Birth
A woman said that it is possible for a pregnant woman to go to Canada to give birth.
The woman said in a TikTok post under the username @thriveincanada that the first step is to locate a doctor in Canada who is willing to do the procedure.
In addition to locating a doctor, the pregnant lady may need health insurance if she does not already have it.
To prevent problems, all of these things must be completed before traveling to Canada.
There is, however, a visa requirement for pregnant women who want to come to Canada solely for the purpose of giving birth.
According to the Canadian government, this kind of immigrants is known as temporary residents, and they would apply for TRA status.
The government website states:
“Under paragraph 3(1)(a) of the Citizenship Act, persons born in Canada are Canadian citizens.”
One of the requirements for issuance of the TRA visa is that the applicant must have sufficient funds to cover the child’s delivery and other expenses.
Also, the pregnant woman must be admissible in other vital visa issuance indices, and she must be ready to leave Canada after giving birth.
