“Why its hard to believe Mohbad’s Father” — Tonto Dikeh

Popular Nollywood actress turned political figure, Tonto Dikeh, has expressed her difficulty in supporting Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.

The actress and politician took to her Instagram story to address her reservations about supporting Mohbad’s father.

Dikeh’s comments came in response to statements made by Joseph Aloba during a coroner’s inquest held at the Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State.

Aloba made a series of claims, including allegations that his son’s wife, Wunmi, had cheated on Mohbad while he was alive and that she had put sleeping pills in his food.

Furthermore, Aloba expressed distrust toward his son’s wife and revealed that Mohbad had gone into hiding due to fears of being attacked by his former boss, Naira Marley, and his associates.

Tonto Dikeh, in her Instagram post, questioned the necessity of airing such allegations online rather than taking them to the appropriate authorities for verification and legal action.

She implored Aloba to consider pursuing the claims through the proper legal channels.

The actress emphasized the substantial efforts being made by herself and others to advocate for Mohbad’s memory and questioned the wisdom of publicly discrediting those efforts.

Tonto Dikeh concluded her message by urging Aloba to provide any information he possesses to the appropriate authorities for a thorough investigation.

She wrote;

‘It’s so hard to Love or even support #Generalmohbads dad, mean if he has so much information to give, why can’t he take it to the authorities? Is online the judge and jury or Authority?

“Take these claims to the right authority and have them verified and pick up who you accuse.

“We are using our personal resources, sweat and blood to fight for your amazing son and all you have to do is humiliate our efforts by carelessly speaking when we have begged you countless times to go give every info you have. GOD BLESS MY FATHER.”
