What Man United admin did to Brighton after penalty miss

Manchester United secured their place in the FA Cup final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out win against Brighton on Sunday afternoon. The match was held at Wembley Stadium, where both teams battled hard for 120 minutes but couldn’t find a winner. The game eventually went to penalties, where Solly March missed his spot-kick, allowing Victor Lindelof to seal the victory for United with a smartly taken penalty.

Brighton was understandably devastated after the defeat, and March, who missed the decisive penalty, was in tears as Marcus Rashford comforted him. Despite his penalty miss, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is a huge fan of the 28-year-old midfielder and has even tipped him for an England call-up ahead of their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine.

The penalty shoot-out win for United sparked plenty of reaction on social media, with the club’s official Twitter account quick to crack a joke after the game. Their post, “WE’RE ON THE MARCH WITH TEN HAG’S ARMY!” drew mixed reactions from fans and followers.

Casemiro, Diogo Dalot, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Marcel Sabitzer, Wout Weghorst, and Victor Lindelof all successfully converted their spot-kicks for United. Meanwhile, for Brighton, Alexis Mac Allister, Pascal Gross, Deniz Undav, Pervis Estupinan, and Lewis Dunk managed to beat David de Gea from their respective efforts.

Manchester United’s victory means they will now face their local rivals Manchester City in the final, which is scheduled to take place on June 3. United’s performance in the FA Cup has been impressive so far, and they will be hoping to continue their good form and secure the trophy at the end of the season.

After the match, United goalkeeper David de Gea explained that the team had prepared for the penalty shoot-out as always and that he tried to put pressure on each of Brighton’s penalty takers. The 32-year-old Spaniard was also spotted checking a piece of paper hidden in his towel before each penalty, which is believed to contain notes on Brighton’s penalty takers.
