We’ll Take England To Penalties—El Hadji Diouf Brags
England vs. Senegal is going to be quite the game for football neutrals but for Senegalese legend, El Hadji Diouf, he believes the tides would be turned in favor of the Senegal national team should the Senegalese side hold on and take the European side to penalties.
The former Liverpool player, El Hadji Diouf, also an icon in Senegal football, in analyzing the fixture between both sides has backed his nation to emerge triumphant and defeat England should a World Cup penalty shootout be on the cards or come into play.
On Sunday, the two teams will compete for a spot in the quarterfinals.
In both the World Cup play-off against the same opponents and the Africa Cup of Nations final against Egypt in February, Senegal’s Eduoard Mendy saved both teams on penalties.
“If we get to penalties, we’re going to win it, easy. I know the goalkeeper we’ve got and I know we can stop some of their penalties,” El Hadji Diouf said.
“We are always going to win on penalties,” Diouf added.
