VOW 2016 Conference & Awards

VOW 2016 Conference & Awards is an initiative of WFM 91.7 – Nigeria’s 1st & only radio station dedicated to WOMEN and their families. The conference is a platform for meaningful dialogue on national development; where experts converge to discuss, express opinions and share experiences on topical issues of relevance to our nation Nigeria, with particular reference to the female gender.

The 1st VOW Conference & Awards took place on 18 December 2015 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel to launch the radio station with the theme “Using Radio as a Tool for Women Development.” The conference hosted Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari as Special Guest of Honour and Mrs Folorunso Alakija as the Keynote Speaker with 500 influential Nigerians across different sectors in attendance.

VOW Conference & Awards 2016 takes place at Eko Hotels & Suites on Friday, 9 December at 10am and will be chaired by Nigeria’s business tycoon, Mrs Folorunso Alakija. The theme for the VOW 2016 is FACING OUR FUTURE – TOGETHER and will focus on our FATE – Finance, Agriculture, Technology & Entertainment. The conference will close with an award and dinner to recognise organisations and individuals who have been voices to the causes of women development in Nigeria.
