Unfair not to play Harry Maguire against Brighton -- Agbonlahor

The performance against Brighton needed Harry Maguire in the game, Gabriel Agbonlahor says following Manchester United’s defeat at home to the Seagulls.

Former Aston Villa player now turned pundit, Gabriel Agbonlahor had a lot of criticisms against Manchester United’s display versus Brighton and Hove Albion in Saturday’s premier league clash at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag’s team crumbled to a 3-1 defeat at home to the Seagulls to mark their third defeat of the season following a less than stellar display that saw former Manchester United player gift Brighton the lead in the first half.

The Red Devils threatened to initiate a comeback when Rasmus Hojlund netted what appeared to be his first goal for the Old Trafford side before being ruled out by the VAR.

According to Gabby Agbonlahor, Manchester United’s performance was unfair to not have Harry Maguire play a part in.

The former England international criticized players like Casemiro for walking about the pitch and leaving Man United’s midfield exposed.

“Casemiro looked about 45 when he was running around the pitch.”

“Maguire deserves to play in that team. Let’s keep the same energy for Martinez,” Agbonlahor said.
