Trouble for Liverpool as Salah picks up injury versus Ghana
The AFCON is no easy sight for Jurgen Klopp at this moment as Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has reportedly picked a fitness issue in the second group stage tie between Egypt and Ghana.
Prior to the Half-time whistle, the Liverpool no. 11 was seen writhing in pain before being replaced by teammate, Mostafa Fathi.
Though the full extent of Salah’s fitness issue isn’t known at this moment, this leaves the Merseyside club on the hinges as the Egyptian had to be forced out from the game.
It is speculated to be a hamstring issue, though not clarified yet, but this adds to Liverpool’s concern as they face a lengthy injury list at the moment, heading into a probable title challenge versus familiar foes, Manchester City.
The Reds will heartily hope the issue with Mohamed Salah isn’t a serious one as the player could be set for an early Liverpool return if Egypt fails to nick a result in their next fixture or against Ghana.
Currently, Jurgen Klopp’s team are without Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Dominik Szoboszlai who are on the fitness table.
