Trailer load of Bibles get burnt on Easter in U. S
Authorities in a Tennessee community are investigating a disturbing incident in which a trailer filled with Bibles was intentionally set on fire outside a church on Easter Sunday.
The Mount Juliet Police Department and Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene after receiving reports of a trailer fire obstructing the entrance of the Global Vision Church at an intersection around 6 a.m. on Sunday. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
According to a statement from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, they suspect the fire was deliberately ignited, though it remains unclear whether the church was specifically targeted.
In order to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation, the sheriff’s office refrained from disclosing further specific details at this time. However, they assured the community that updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.
In a Facebook post, Pastor Greg Locke of the Global Vision Church revealed that security cameras captured footage of an individual abandoning the trailer before setting it ablaze.
Pastor Locke expressed gratitude for the quick response of a woman who had driven through the night to reach the church and promptly alerted law enforcement. He described the scene as unsettling, particularly on his first morning back from a trip to Israel.
