Tinubu reacts to minister Lalong’s resignation, receives 4 replacements
President Tinubu has officially accepted the resignation of Simon Lalong, the Minister of Labour and Employment, as he prepares to take up his role as the senator representing Plateau South Senatorial district.
Lalong’s decision to step down from the cabinet came after securing his Certificate of Return (CoR) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) earlier this year, reaffirming his mandate.
Sources indicate that Lalong’s farewell ceremony will be held during the upcoming Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Additionally, he has submitted the names of four potential candidates to President Tinubu as his recommendations for his replacement.

However, the identities of these nominees have not been disclosed to the public yet.
