American billionaire businessman Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been accused of engaging in sexual relationships with two of his employees, including an intern, and allegedly asking another employee to have his children.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a culture within both SpaceX and Tesla made women employees feel uncomfortable.
These latest allegations are part of a series of accusations against Musk, who has previously been reported to use drugs such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms, and ketamine, sometimes at work and with board members.
The Wall Street Journal report cites female employees at Tesla who claimed Elon Musk showed them “an unusual amount of attention” or pursued them.
A 2016 allegation from a SpaceX flight attendant stated that Musk exposed himself to her and offered to buy her a horse in exchange for sex. Another woman, who resigned from SpaceX in 2013, claimed Musk repeatedly asked her to have his babies.
Musk, who has at least 10 children, has publicly stated that the world faces an underpopulation crisis and that people with high IQs should procreate.
Additionally, the report details text exchanges between Elon Musk and a SpaceX employee, where he repeatedly invited her to his house at night. The messages included Musk expressing stress and suggesting that she visit him to help him relax.
SpaceX and Musk’s legal team have dismissed the allegations, labeling the report as full of “untruths” and “mischaracterizations.”
Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX’s president and COO, defended Musk, stating,
“The untruths, mischaracterizations, and revisionist history in your email paint a completely misleading narrative. I continue to be amazed by what this extraordinary group of people are achieving every day even amidst all the forces acting against us. And Elon is one of the best humans I know.”
Previously, Musk had been accused of fostering a “hostile work environment” at SpaceX, where jokes about sexual harassment were common, women were paid less than men, and employees who complained were dismissed.
Former employees alleged that Musk created a sexist culture where sexual comments and harassment were tolerated or trivialized.
