Student throws new born baby to death in Gombe State University

Gombe State University (GSU) has been plunged into troubled waters as a female student is reported to have thrown a newborn baby out through the hostel’s second-floor window to its death, right after giving birth to the child.

A security personnel at the institution, who spoke with Daylight Reporters on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that the distressing event took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to the security official, preliminary information suggests that the infant’s mother, allegedly feeling the weight of bearing a child out of wedlock, made the horrifying decision to end the newborn’s life by tossing the baby from the window.

The lifeless body of the infant was reportedly retrieved with the university authorities taking quick actions to identify and apprehend the suspect.
