Senator Ayogu Eze, who represented Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has reportedly passed away.

The former Senate spokesperson died in an Abuja hospital after battling a prolonged illness, according to a source close to the family.

The late Senator had been in poor health, which prevented him from attending his child’s wedding earlier this year in Lagos State.

Senator Eze was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he contested for the governorship election in Enugu State.
