See the viral posts of the outrageous bride price list given to an Edo man by his In-laws

A Twitter user identified as ‘Eki by Leo’ uploaded the marriage list given to him by his in-laws. The prices were outrageous and some of the things mentioned were very irrelevant to the traditional marriage.

The list contained cigarettes for the bride’s father, knife for both father and mother, 18 bags of salt for the mother, to buy grass cutter, pig and goat for the father among many other absurd things. The Edo man expressed his shock posting a picture of the list given to him, he captioned it “Na marry i say i wan marry, wetin be this na?

The list asides the main bride price which they kept at N300,000 summed up to N1,187,800, (one million, one hundred and eighty seven thousand, eight hundred naira). The post got reactions from people who had diverse opinions towards the list.
